K. Rad Payman, MD focuses his practice on the Comprehensive treatment of patients with spinal disorders. He has extensive experience with adult degenerative spinal conditions, complex spine trauma, spinal deformity, motion preservation technologies, and inter-vertebral disc replacement surgery.
K. Rad Payman, MD graduated from the University of Virginia as an Echol's scholar, an honor given to the top one percent of students. He earned his medical degree at the prestigious Johns Hopkins university school of medicine, the nation's top medical school.
He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the UCLA medical center and affiliated hospitals and obtained additional training in spinal surgery with world renowned spinal surgeon, Dr. Henry Bohlman, at the nation's premier comprehensive spine surgery fellowship. He has authored many peer-reviewed scientific articles and textbook chapters in the field of spinal surgery and has appeared in national and international television broadcasts discussing advancements in spine surgery.
